Why would gold sellers be buying zen? Zen is non transferable.

you'r right... zen is not trasferable... but zen bought item are.. ^^ also zen are on the ACCOUNT... that mean that they can trasfer them from one server to one other... also (correct me on this if I'm wrong.. since I only heard of this and have not tested it...) u can also trasfer zen obtained in a PWE game to any other PWE game...

so... yep... gold seller have really LOT of use out of zen ^^

I know it is getting really old really fast, and that sucks because i had been looking for a new game for a while now to replace diablo 3 and neverwinter finally hit the spot. I love this game, but hate what narrow minded hackers who only think about themselves are doing to it

Hopefully 90% of the hackers and cheaters get caught and somehow punished or at the very least have their illegitimate gains reset because i can tell you it is already punishing the legit players of the game which is BS. I can not afford anything because of the massive inflation already occurring. I plan to save everything till i am lvl 60 anyway if possible, but the few times i have looked at the AH is depressing and looks like it will be a daunting task to even afford a pot to p*ss in.

there are still groups of people trying to hack the game right now, im watching their forum. they aren't really getting caught. Exploiters are trying their best to find every exploit possible and then share them with eachother in private to improve. I really do hope they get caught. the way it is, people are finding exploits in order to get them fixed faster.. or they are also as you say "narrow minded".

No, once you commit zen to a game, it's in that game. Gold sellers are only interested in selling currency. Selling items is a waste if time for them. So as it stands zen is worthless to them.

as far as this goes.. there are AD sites that sell zen items. whether they actually sell them or are just on the site, I don't know. but I do know that they are alteast trying to sell zen items. just not zen itself.

thx for the clarification about this ^^

about the other... I've seen quite a lot of gold selling site offering in game item as well as currency... (usually a browse such sites to get a grip of how the economy of the game is running... ^^)

I won't say there is no cheating but the theories do not add up.

If AD were exploited, zen price would be capped (500 ad per) due to too many diamonds. Not happening.
If zen were exploited somehow, it would dip to 50 each due to too much zen.
If both are exploited, goods would cost 1000X more in the AH due to worthless currency.

*** The only thing that adds up is massive exploitation of all 3 (zen, AD, and items, and possibly gold to boot). ***
    OR
*** Insignificant amounts of exploitation that are not really having an effect ****

Those are the only 2 conclusions I can see when trying to apply any sort of logic to the theories.

As for the values.... zen was all over the place on beholder last night. I flipped most of my AD to zen at 320 last night. I flipped it back at 360 and made a profit. I think many hundreds, probably more, did the same? Who would not, it was an obvious opportunity during peak playing hours.

Mindflayer seems to be as normal as ever. maximum amount I have ever seen is 11k zen, with the current AD at 325 per zen.

White hats!(not narrow minded btw, my bad for that), thank god we have em or the internets would really be finished.

What's clear is a significant, but not overwhelming amount of AD was suddenly introduced to inflate the market marginally. I think this fits my theory that the 10 day bans are starting to be lifted and the people are cashing in.

Could be. But the ZOMGCHEATERZ posts indicate that the supposed exploiters have billions upon billions of AD. If the 10 day ban folks really had this much, it would not be an insignificant amount --- unless you assume they are all trying to avoid getting "caught" at something, but what? Once the ban is up, no harm, no foul, they are legit diamonds (according to PWE, by extrapolation they are legit if the player still has em and isnt banned) so these diamonds are part of the economy and the "cheaters" could dump them all at once if so desired?? What you say makes sense up to a point but if its a bunch of them with a bunch of diamonds, it would go back to scenario 1 where AD to zen is 500 (too many diamonds, worth less each). Instead, the price dropped?? That does not add up for me.

Even in real-life people are hacking and using exploits.

The price raised, but not drastically so. If say that overall around 4000USD of zen was bought(or requested to be bought anyway) on dragon and beholder. Not a crazy amount, but enough to signify something fishy is going on. I'm sticking with my theory.

I think what's clear is that this is just paranoia. Some person or persons made some large transactions. This has failed to move the market in any significant way.
