Items disappearing after using them to change appearance of other items!!

Yes...
happened to me twice now with a T1 Helmet and a PvP-Set Helmet.
Actually i wanted to record my second try with Fraps, but somehow it didn't record...
Maybe i add later a video with cheap items where it doesn't matter if I waste them.
The items which i used to change the appearance of another item (and those who disappeared afterwards), were already appearance-changed and dyed in the first place, i think that causes the conflict.
