I'm level 9 in leadership and I don't understand what these are used for? Can you get a better result than is shown if you use it in place of a worn infantry weapon/armor etc? Does it speed the task up, but not display that it does? What do these do?

They don't say what they do, but when you put them in a slot for a quest, you can hover over them to see the speed bonus.
Yes, OP, with better weapons/armor in leadership you will get better results, more exp, more diamonds, more coins.
I'm not sure that's actually the case. At least I haven't noticed any improvement. I assumed they existed so people who buy the packs can get all assets without having to buy from the vendor and it wouldn't be acceptable to be putting white gear in the packs. Otherwise I'd expect there would be blue/purple leadership assets.
They do one thing at least. The chest rewards have a chance for a higher rarity chest, that is what the % on the weapons and armor is good for. So not much.

Is that confirmed ? It looks like the chest itself has a chance to give better rewards when you open it at random, not that you have a chance to get a better chest in the first place or how does this work ?
