Traps not showing at correct elevations?

Anyone have any full proof ways of getting traps to spawn at any given elevation? I'm trying to put a trap field on a platform, that is on top of a tower, but only 3 of my traps are showing up up there. Weirder, they show up each at slightly different heights, even though i set each of their Y variables to the same number and they are all set to Zero Altitude for their relativity. Any help would be appreciated!
