Look it from the bright side! now you know which company to not spend "real money" at! right? :D *cough* Perfectworld *cough*

Sadly you may be right, I am a big fan of Cryptic's previous work with Champions and CoX, but this is pretty sub par for them, especially considering this is really not their first rodeo. CoX was the only game that was competition for my gaming dollar with WoW, with me bouncing back and forth between them, pretty much CoX's whole life. Cryptic was innovative; adaptive dungeons that could be solo'd or would get harder with a group, difficulty scale for questing and dungeons, the Mission Architect which was before any version of the Foundry, sidekicking, groups that could work with any composition, epic groundbreaking movement powers, best character customization in an MMO.

In many ways 4th Ed D&D with its Controller, Striker, Defender, Leader etc roles, and monsters ordered into Minions, Brutes, Solos, Elites and Bosses IS essentially City of Heroes (Classes there were Blasters, Scrappers, Tankers, Defenders, etc, and Gang packs had henchmen, lieutenants, thugs, bosses and supervillains etc). So I am baffled that they aren't doing a better job with a game that is essentially just City of Heroes D&D edition. I can only assume PWE and the F2P model are messing it up, F2P in Neverwinter has really sold me on disliking the F2P model, as the monetization of the game ends up permeating all aspects of the game's design, instead of being in the background. I did like that about WoW, I paid my sub and never saw it, felt it, or sensed it in game at all, but in Neverwinter I am constantly blasted with the payment model and cash shop, and it kills immersion. I am constantly reminded I am a credit card cow to be milked, and that's getting old fast. Add to it that half of everything doesn't even work, and I am just finding myself increasingly disappointed. I also think it is pretty HAMSTER to charge for respec tokens when alot of the feats and powers and synergies don't even work as advertised, basically making us pay for Cryptic's screw ups.

So ya, I am pretty close to calling it good until launch, this game is just too **** buggy still and frankly they shouldn't be charging for it while it is still this messed up, and they are slow as molasses getting alot of it fixed. Hopefully they can turn it around, but I am losing confidence in this investment at this point.

YOu have purchased something at a real dollar/euro value, when it has an INGAME equivalent that is DIRECTLY effected by the explioitatoin. You may get 600k AD in your founders pack, but right now, thats worth about $.75 cents.

...the heck are you talking about? Current exchange rate on Dragon is ~350. 600k AD = 1714.28 zen. Roughly $17. (And I'm not sure how this "devaluing" is some huge thing and/or a legal matter - anyone who's had any experience with the Star Trek exchange knows that the value shifts over time - for the last half year or so, the rate's been in the 100-130 range. Yeah, that can suck if you're looking to sell zen to gain dilithium/AD, but it's great for people going the other direction. If the rate was like that, your 600k AD would be worth 4600 zen. Exchange rate decreasing = your AD is worth more.)
