Hi all,

Neverwinter has had some well documented problems in the last few weeks. These problems have led to half the community wanting a wipe.

The problem is that people have invested time into their characters and don't want to have to start again. However, the economy is a bit screwed and a lot of people have gear they haven't earned.

The solution is simple. When the game launches release a new zone that enables people to level to level 65. Add a "heroic" title to the dungeons so that people can do the dungeon at 65 and get gear that supercedes the gear they have exploited (or earned)

This way people are not losing characters they invested in nor are people that haven't exploited behind the curve.

Problem solved.

Although this isn't really a bad idea, you have missed something crucial. The problem with the gear is that players have found ways of running content in a way that was not intended by the developers because of oversights on design, in other words exploits. So you want to take a team who has missed opportunities to curb exploiting to create new content that would magically be free of new exploits? That is funny. Like a guy who has a weakness for doughnuts starting up a doughnut shop. If you don't understand what I mean, it would only compound the problem because the developer track record shows they are slow to fix leaky faucets.

you have to give them a chance to learn from their mistakes.

to suggest they simply will never be able to make a non exploitable dungeon is nonsense.

Okay sure. But one motto that good programmers go by is when there is a problem with the code, you don't add more code to fix the problem, you remove some. But hey a lot of the exploits are not problems with the code but the design of the dungeons. Adding more content would only compound the problem because there is a chance that this new content has exploits the developers didn't expect and we would be right back into the same problem as we have now. So you will just come along and say, hey we need another addition of content, lets increase the level to 70 and add more gear to reduce the value of the exploited level 65 gear, yeah that will fix the problem.
