I've noticed that the little glittery path that's supposed to lead to my next quest doesn't work at least half the time. It either leads to the wrong place or disappears altogether. Does anyone else have this problem, and do we know if it's something that's being looked at for a fix?

Unless you are on Mt Hotenow, where it is totally broken (or was at least), it's usually pretty good. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the quest you want to do isn't the current quest in the journal? It's easy to force it. In the journal click next to the quest you want to do so you get the pencil (I think) icon turned on - that should activate the right sprinkle set.

No, I don't think that's entirely the problem. In a lot of cases, I'll follow the trail, and it will just lead up into the sky and stop.
From my experience when it "stops" it is because you have reached the area where you go to fulfill the quest. It can't lead to a specific spot like some do because the "golden trail" leads into an area.
There also times when the trail goes into a wall or something that you obviously can't follow. Especially in the foundry quests. Don't know what to tell you about those except try to find a way around to it.
Then there are the couple trails that lead to a complete dead end when they say they are leading to the quest destination. Some of them are broken and lead to the wrong location.
Hope this helps.
I'm gonna rip your head off and make it my puppet! (NwN2)
According to the Foundery authors, the quest path is sort of broken in their quests. It's generated by foundery code and not by the authors, so that code does have some issues. I've notice that the path will dive into the ground, lift into the air, run into walls and disappear. Diving into the ground and running through walls means you are close and the target is at a lower level, inside the building. Lifting in air means you are close and the target if higher than you are. Dissappearing seems to have two causes. the first is the path is blending into the texture behind it (from your point of view). The other seems to be a bug where the path changes to go a different direction from the one it was using.
