GWF is by far my favorite class to play. I love the play style and the moves along with their animations. I have noticed like most people said they are lacking in damage. From my understand before this game came out to open beta GWF were so op. Now they do or damage if geared correctly. I really hope a buff is coming soon because we are in desperate need of one. Someone with the moves and skills involved with the class that they are should clear be doing way more damage, like keeping up with TR in damage on the meters. So again hope a buff comes soon.
The fate of classes rests in the players hands, and since everyone and their grandmother has been complaining about the effectiveness of the GWF, I fully anticipate some tweaks to the class.

We don't really need a buff. Would be nice ofc. But getting rid off the knock-back-mobs-off-cliffs "mechanic". Would go a long way for me. Oh, and while your at it. Remove blue shield stacking, and fix aggro.
CW probably shouldn't be able to ledge adds during boss fights. Anywhere else in the dungeon and it really doesn't matter. It's called trash for a reason. Nobody gives a HAMSTER about it.
The whole "Reduced damage for targets beyond the first" is kind of annoying and silly unless it's an alternative to having a target cap and I just haven't been paying close enough attention to the fact that GWF have no target cap on any of their abilities.
After abandoning fully T2 geared Greater enchant GWF and making a rogue I most certainly wont go back to gwf unless:
1) MAJOR buff to damage and utility and removal of dmg reduction per target hit after first(the guy who thought of this will get cancer and die, chump)
2) removal of ledge knocking to make gwf needed to clear trash, cause the only reason to take gwf into T2 now is if u have brain tumor and not thinking clearly
as of now we are running 2cler+2cw+1rogue cause else is useless.
Carnage TR Dragon shard - retired? hell yea it's retired along with Nevewinter
GWF aren't needed at all, it's not a core part of a group neccessary to clear the dungeon. You need that CW to control the mobs off the cleric, the rogue to DPS single target (Bosses), the cleric to heal, the tank to be a semi-useless meatshield semi-useless peeler and that leaves us as the group clown troll dancing as they 4 man any T2's.

I agree with all the GWF here in this post. I love the way my GWF is the way she is. But a buff would be nice so i could pump out more damage and actually stand a chance with a TR in my group
buff doesn't describe it well enough...
try rework.
Buff is a rework in a way. in order to buff something it needs to be changed in some way, whether it be damage or mechanic of the powers in general.

my stats are as standing
crit: 3000
power: 4400
arp: 2200
i should be pumping out a ton of damage but i dont because of the nerf to damage on my WMS. and my other moves seem to be lacking in the damage as well when they should be doing a lot more and criting for more than 22k with my IBS

This class scales horribly at end game, honestly, it needs an entire rework because it serves no useful purpose compared to CW / TR .
GWFs are not lacking in damage. I always roflstomp rogues in dps however geared they are. The class does lack in party play though. Yes I do more damage than a rogue but it is AOE damage. What about bosses?Rogue has about 4 times more single target damage than me thus he is far more useful than me. You might say "but you have insane AOE". Ye I do. The best in game. It is useless though when you only need a CW to knock everything off ledges. Knocking is generally faster than killing heh. So until they implement some dungeons without ledges or some bosses that can't be soloed by a weak class (at tanking I mean) like rogue GWF is indeed useless. Same goes for GF although the class is still more useful than GWF
I'm sitting at 10.8k GS and I get annihilated by rogues, they deal at minimum, twice as much damage as I do and the rogues usually have less GS. I consider myself to be a more than competent player being able to compete with some of the best of X class in Y game (WoW, Rift, SWTOR, etc.). It's one of the reasons why I decided to roll a GWF after getting a lvl 60 DC since I wanted to see if they were as bad as some people said they were; I wanted to make GWFs work. To say that GWF deals more damage in AOE is true, however, I feel like it's not as much as some make it seem. Rogues can keep up in AOE damage just fine and also capable of killing single targets much better than GWF's can. It's not even an issue of CWs being able to throw things off cliffs, it's that GWFs don't bring much to the table other than Student of the Sword debuff. I don't feel like I'm exaggerating as I'm sure other GWFs have had the same experiences. With all things being equal (gear, player's skill, etc.), I find it hard to believe that a GWF could beat a rogue except maybe slightly in AOE.
I don't think there is necessarily something inherently wrong with GWF, it's just that their damage output is too low. That, and the fact that they are SUPPOSED to be able to off-tank things when it's called for but unable to since threat generation outside of a DC is a joke. It would be nice if GWF could at least keep up with rogues in damage, I don't even mind if it's slightly below them (in fact, they probably should) but half of rogue's damage is a bit too much for me to swallow, especially if GWFs doesn't bring anything else to the table. Even though GWFs may deal more damage doing AOE and even factor out the fact that CWs can throw mobs off cliffs, very few groups have trouble clearing trash but killing a boss, that's another story and that's where rogues are preferred.

It needs some slight reworking in some areas IMO.
And for insta-kill knockbacks to not invalidate the class.
And threat to be fixed so they could potentially off tank the adds that aren't being cheesed.
I'm all for knocking stuff off things but it shouldn't insta kill them, just damage and/or delay them.
