Map lighting help request. (screenshots included)

Hi. I am having some trouble getting the lighting on a new map I am working on. I was hoping someone might have some suggestions for me.

Basically, there is a part of the map that seems to stay dark no matter what I add. I call it the black hole.

I wanted a map with a second story balcony that I can put NPC's on and have them cheering at the player below. But I don't want the player to go upstairs. So, I used the Human Inn as a base and chopped off the rooms I didn't want to use by putting up a huge wall. Then I used that wall as the "entrance" into the map. But now, the area by that wall doesn't seem to want to hold light.

I should add that I don't have a good understanding of how the light works yet. Anyway, I've taken some screenshots both with and without edit on so you can see where the lights are placed. If you have a moment and some thoughts, I'd love to get your help with this.

If I've set this up correctly, anyone should be able to follow the link to the google doc share below to access the screenshots.

I'm assuming you turned off the light for that room, and are using all placed lights, correct?

NWO's lighting engine is probably the cause. I've seen lighting issues even in some plain areas, with individual detail walls next to each other being drastically different (one entire wall darkly shadowed, the other brightly lit). It can't handle too many overlapping light spheres. My suspicion is what's happening is you have too many lights shining on that object and the game chokes trying to figure out the lighting, as that can happen with some other games I've modded.

Thanks for the thoughts. I have the lighting set to daylight. I'll give it a try.

If you have it set to daylight, you might actually try removing some placed lights and then checking ingame.

If it's internal then just get rid of the dynamic lighting and use the static. Doesn't throw out shadows but can still be good for setting a mood. I had the same issue with my map where, as kama says, one wall was brightly lit but the wall it was joined to was dark and it just looked terrible.
