Do changes on a quest affect it live?

If I edit a quest while it is in the review stage, will the edits update to the live quest? Or will I need to hit the 'publish' button again. And if I do republish, will it affect that same quest or will it create another quest with another short-code?


On an unrelated note, I noticed that making changes to a one-way patrol path after it's been saved tends to create a null on the encounter. Especially when adding additional patrol points. Any suggestions to prevent this other than deleting the encounter each time and remaking it?

Changes don't effect the quest until you publish and the re-publish will replace the old version of the quest.

As to the patrol path thing, I find just moving a patrol point usually fixes it.
