Once a powerful noble house of mages who ruled through sheer power, the House of Araball has turned to necromancy.

The House's patron, The Baroness Jade Araball, during a powerful spell to transform her into a Lich, an error occured. The Baroness was transformed, however, the backlash from the spell raced across the land inflicting a plague upon it's citizens. Slowly they fell to the symptoms only to rise again as servants to the Baroness.

The surrounding lands rose to dispatch the Lich and her army, however, after weeks of battle were forced to retreat. It was decided by a joint council to mount one more large assault against the army of undead, pulling them into the battlefield, while sending in discreetly capable mercenaries able to strike at the heart of the undead legions, the Lich Baroness Jade Araball herself.

So word was sent out far and wide, seeking the most able bodies of adventures to answer the call.
