For example, in my second quest, Regular Quest, I have the word "FIGHT!!!" come up soon as you walk to the gate after selecting your army and which army you want to fight. The objective is named "Rally Your Troops" and all your allied soldiers will follow you once you reach that point.
Another example, in my first quest, The Catacombs of Dread, when you go to investigate the smoke in two of the objectives, I have the Dungeon Master briefly describe the scene in each of the two rooms.

You can also use invisible clickies, as coannum (spelling?) did. Players aren't forced to click on them but it seems they will, and get a dialog line or lines. Set the clicky to disappear on the last dialog line.

Thank you for the plug Kam. It has worked really well in my quest so far, it allows you to include optional content for those who choose to interact with it but without it being required. You can also use them as quest objectives to completely replace reach points by using the interact with object objective and set the message as the dialog there.
Do you crave a good old fashioned dungeon crawl? One where the dungeon tells it's own story? The Dungeon Delves campaign is just for you! Start with my first release: NW-DQF4T7QYH Any cave can lead to adventure!
