Questions about some class features and feats

Hi all,

I have many questions in order to respec my Wizard into an Oppressor.
Since most skills/feats descriptions are unclear, I need a little bit of explanation.

First what is a control spell ? Is there a list somewhere ?

Class features :
-Arcane Mastery also increases the damage of your Cold based attacks by 34% of the buff value. So with 3 points in that one i get 100% of the 15% damage bonus on chill skill as arcane spells normally do ?
-Evocation : does it work with tabbed chilling strike ?
-Storm spell : Shock your target 10% of the time on all attacks. What is Shock ? Stun ? Damage ? Both ?
-Stormfury : as the storm spell, I don't know what this bolt is and what it really does.

Feats :
-Controlling Action : Do I get X% of the total action point bar by casting a control spell ? If yes well that's awesome.
-Prestidigitation : This is the most mysterious feat for me. What are the 1/2/3 % boost ? Since many players use it,
it might be good. But i really don't understand what the percentage refers to.

Thanks to all that can help me !

A: Yes, exactly so, with rank 3 15% extra damage to cold skills.

-Storm spell : Shock your target 10% of the time on all attacks. What is Shock ? Stun ? Damage ? Both ?
    A: Purely damage.

-Controlling Action : Do I get X% of the total action point bar by casting a control spell ? If yes well that's awesome.
A: yes, but remember there is the cooldown in it.

-Prestidigitation : This is the most mysterious feat for me. What are the 1/2/3 % boost ? Since many players use it,
A: It gives power/crit/arp etc. stats. If you have 1000 crit, it gives 30 on rank 3 to whole party.

Can't answer the others questions, and correct me if i said wrong.

-you say Storm spell feature does damage, but where can I see how many dmg ?

-yes, but remember there is the cooldown in it => how do you know there's a cooldown ? and how many is it ?

Thank you very much for your answers !

Evocation does work on tabbed Chill Strike, but it and the other AoE damage boosters do not work on a number of other AoE spells.

Storm Spell does not list it's damage anywhere, but from my experience it does ~50% more than a normal Magic Missile per proc.

Controlling Action causes you to gain 10% more AP than you otherwise would when attacking a controlled target. It does not add 10% to the AP bar. There is no cooldown on this. It is not that strong overall, but it is a good place to dump extra points.

he probably confused it with the paragon feat that give u 5% of your total AP bar per crit with 10 sec internal cd...

the actual feat that u'r looking at instead INCREASE your action point gain from control effect by 10%... so let say that one of your control effect gran u 5% of your total action point bar with this ability it will grant 5,5% instead...

usefull... not a world changing feat but still usefull...

about the shock it is quite the good dmging passive... as explained by others the dmg is above that of a normal MM and it can crit too... if u do massive use of AoE abilities u will see many proc from this ability... if instead u'r going for most sinlge target ability passive that simply increase your dmg by a flat % could sound more interesting (less hit per sec = less proc... also being it a flat dmg u gain the greatest advantage from fast hittin low/no dmg ability... it is quite impressive when used with steal time since it can proc out of the slow pulse ^^
