Foundry: Randomly Playing Map in Background, only can Alt-F4 out

When I drag a room from the room pallet to the map the cursor disappears. when I alt tab to another program the cursor "bounces" back to the middle of the screen. When I alt-tab back to Foundry I can alt-f4 to save (thankfully) and exit. After saving and exiting I can see Author standing there doing idle motions in the foundry menu box (file, etc across the top, gray frame all around). At this point I can only "X" out since the File>exit option does nothing.
