After a discussion on critical updates needed to make testing new quests easier, it was pointed out that although the number of private dwellings in the new content tab is massive, there's nowhere else to put them.
So let's find a better place to put them.
If the DM's agree that private dwelling creation is a legit use of the Foundry, we need a separate tab just for them. This will drastically decrease the lag when accessing the new quest tab, and allow for easier access and searching for the dwelling owners.
This will allow people who want their own place (for role playing or... other things) to create that space and have it be accessible by others in the game.
This may require a tweak in the creation tools, since the rules for creating and listing a private dwelling should be:
* No XP or treasure gain allowed. If private dwellings aren't going to be reviewed by the community, there needs to be protection against cheats and exploits. The easiest way to do this is to make them no-mob and no-chest. Otherwise, you'll have tons of exploiters using 'private dwellings' for ogre-in-cage farms, with nobody reviewing them.
* DM's allowed to moderate for content. To prevent the propagation of illegal / anti ToS material, DM's reserve the right to enter and review content in private dwellings.
This is a win for everyone. Less lag, less exploiters, more roleplaying.
I support this message.
I intended to redo Cairn Durn as a separate RP map, nice, dark and comfy necromancer lair. But for now it's on hold since I don't want to clutter "for review" list even more.
