This might be a dumbass question, or answered before, but ill give it a shot. Guardian fighter btw!
Luckily I have been fortunate to play some "end" game stuff and obtain mostly every set in the game for kicks. fun game now that i finally got my 5th 60 (every class yay!). Still a lot to learn and sitting on a low gear score of just around 14500. Everything is great.. except it seems some set 4 pieces bonuses don't work for the GF.
I have every set except 1 (i think its the crit severity+), but so far 2 of them that i use often for fun dont even work. I dont remember exactly the name but its the 1 where whenever u get hit you get Power up to 25% of your max hit-points and the one that grants you 60% power and 25% defense when using a power.
Both dont work. The one that grants power and defense has never worked for me in pvp or pve. There is no buff, no proc, nothing.
The one that grants up to 25% of hit-points doesn't work either when i get hit in any scenario. Is it just me...or am i just SoL?.
That set is called High General , I have it on my GF - it doesn't do **** , it doesn't show any buff whatsoever also it doesn't change my stats or the stats of the party members which leads me to the conclusion that it doesn't work at all .

Id love to know more about this too. I also have a High General on my GF, as it was pretty budget, but testing on the dummy showed no buff to me or my partys Crit Sev. - Anyone have any insight? Id also love to know why 2 of the 3 GF sets offer amazing personal buffs and this offers a meh buff to the party only or maybe i just dont understand it well enough. I see by its wording, with no cooldown, that a properly crit stacked GF could keep this buff up full time, but as stated, i dont ever see the buff on me or my party.

What lol, the one set he DOESN'T have is high general.
The two he does are Stalwart (25% hp into power)
And Knight Captain (buffs power/def)
Yeah the conqueror feat that give a 100% bonus power when guard is full increases the GS by a noticeable (near ridiculous) amount, i'm half epic t1 on my GF and i sit at 12k something GS.
On my character sheet or buff bar i don't get any kind of bonuses from knight captain too. I would really like a more solid answer if it works or not, if it supposed to give a buff on the bar, or it's apply in background without seeing it... or i'll suppose it's not working, i havent seen a proc in a week.

Knight captains atm is buffing the entire party sans the GF, pretty good to swap to on fights like draco. Stalwart is also working, it's just that power is kinda crappy and even large quantities only yield mediocre gains.

That really just isn't true. GF have good power scaling (significantly better than TR/CW) as a result of a high modifier on abilities as well as the Conqueror end feat. I'd estimate that power on a GF is worth 3x and 8x as much than on a CW or TR respectively. The only stat that even competes is ARPen which unfortunately has a cap. The real debate is is it worth using Knight Captain over Stalwart considering how little other classes gain from power.

Unfortunately it is true, I'm not debating whether or not GF's have better power scaling than other classes - obviously that much is true for our cleave. However the stalwarts bonus doesn't get doubled by the conqueror feat and the static 6.5k power from having 5 stacks really doesn't yield the type of gain that most people would think from a number so large, stalwarts is still the best set to use in almost all situations.

Both work fine. You'll need to do more testing.
-Epic Dread Vault Crushed.
Characters (Dragon): Axer (60 Guardian, Leader of Crush It!), Controller (60 Wizard), Warlocker (60 Warlock)
Wait... what?
You were doing wrong the whole time Trickshaw....the lower the better. >.>
