Using Shift to stop AP use

You can basically use a daily, press shift immediately to cancel the AP being used but still have the effect of the skill go off and then using another skill to stop the full animation of the Shift.
You can chain two dailies together back to back by using this method as well. Supposedly this works on GWF, DC, and CW.
I haven't tried it so I'm not sure if it works as a rogue.
