Neverember Guard bugged

I have bought 2 neverember Guards from the Zen market, one works fine, and has no problems, the one on my main character is bugged. I can not place Items on him, the ones that go on his waist. I've tried several belts, infact every belt in our guild bank, but they won't drag there. And yes they are of appropriate lvl. I only have the 1st 2 slots opened up, but no belt will go into the slot, but they work fine on my other character. So I believe it's not companion wide, just my lucky account, and being it's not mentioned earlier means I'll probably not be hearing anything on it or that they'll fix it any time soon. However, I would appreciate someone looking into this matter. My Guard companion could sure use those waist slots being of use please.
