FOR REVIEW: "Forrest, Grump" (Part 1 of "The Legend of Nona Sequitur")

Hi everyone! I've just published my first Foundry quest and am looking for any comments and/or criticisms, please. I've played it through many times with different setups, and everything seems to be working fine, so you shouldn't encounter anything game-breaking. Info is below, but here's a few screenies for you. Thanks for looking!

Campaign Name: The Legend of Nona Sequitur
Quest Name: Forrest, Grump
Shortcode: NW-DH9B4YS83
Author: @hippyshake
Sub Tag: #Story #Combat #Humor #Explore #Balanced #Interior #Outside

Part One of "The Legend of Nona Sequitur"

Psst...over here. I hear yer lookin' ta find out what happened ta Nona? Nona Sequitur? Well, word is a certain boy in Blacklake may know something about her. Why she and a bunch of others left. Cedrick knows where Forrest is, though, and he's the only one who can help you find them all. Dig? Now, scram before we're seen.

- Balance of humor, story, and action
- Full of Pop Cultural and Geeky references - how many can you find? (Hint: one is in a screencap above)
- Mix of easy, medium, and hard encounters (not stacked), including wanderers & patrols
- Designed to be played in concert with the official Cryptic Blacklake Quests (so you're not running out of your way)
- Additional, optional combat areas for tons more exp, or bypass them all for a quicker quest!

This is my first published NW quest, so please be gentle with me (seriously, I appreciate all comments and criticisms, so please fire away so I can get better). Thanks for checking it out. Hope you like!

Part Two ("An Inconvenient Tooth") is coming soon!

The dungeon had me rolling. Four stars and a fat tip from me. My only criticism would be in the story. While it wasn't terrible, it could have been better. The encounters killed me a few times but they were not ridiculous hard, and to me that is a good thing. The mobs on the spawn point was a good idea. I had to fight for it and I didn't see it coming. I like little surprises like that. I look forward to seeing more quests from you. I'd recommend this quest.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments and the criticisms! The story will definitely pick up in the next part, but yeah...I've been trying to think of ways to beef it up without giving away what's going to happen next. I'll keep at it.
I'll also return the favor by checking out your quest tomorrow. :)

@Voidvodak: Sorry, but I didn't get the video edited tonight; I'll have to finish it in the morning (wife came home early!).

    Cheers, guys!

Don't worry mate, there's all the time we want.
I also have played and briefly reviewed your quest in-game (4 stars)
I would like to write something here longer and more detailed, but I'm using the cellphone at the moment and this is a big mess. Tomorrow morning I will post my impressions.

I'm trying to play yours, but I'm getting no results from NW-DMIME87F5 atm and, of course, author and quest name never work. I really wish they'd fix this search.

I have this quest on my schedule to play in approx. 2 hours. If you find the time, an in game review of mine would be much appreciated in exchange. I'll review yours in the in-game review, if anything I feel needs to be said to you directly i'll post here. Thanks!

Edit -Submitted my review. I loved the mission. I was pleasantly suprised it didn't drag on. I enjoyed the quest duration, the light hearted dialog, and actually laughed at forrest, which is more than I can say for any other foundry quest. Nothing really wrong with the quest, I'll just say 2 nitpick/polish things because I appreciate when people nitpick for my creative projects. When you find the key, I wish there were more of a description like... "Your reach in and feel around , pulling out something. It's a key!" instead of "You found a key!"

Also I was able to skip the prison guard by not approaching him.

Sorry for not seeing this sooner. I'll definitely give your quest a spin, either tomorrow or Tuesday, and post my thoughts on your thread.
Thanks for the tips; as stupid as it sounds, I never thought about the Warden being skippable (I'm assuming that's who you mean). Problem is, if I bring him out any further, he starts pounding on my NPCs! lol I'll have to think about restructuring that section.

Many, many thanks for your thoughts and advice!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The next one is a serious quest, but then I'll be doing the second part of this one ("An Inconvenient Tooth").

I was disappointed when I was unable to complete this quest because the prison door was locked when i went to return to kill the bartender. Wasted quite a bit of time on this, because initially the quest was telling me to enter the prison, when i was already in it. I had to turn back, click the prison doors again, then speak to the prison, then I was locked in.

Edit: It's not over yet. After searching on the forums I found the /killme command which took me back to the fire to avoid the doors. Let's see how this turns out.

Edit 2: I successfully completed the quest. I'll leave this up in case it helps someone.

Thanks for posting this! I just played the quest and also got stuck and had to use the /killme command to get out. I'm guessing this is a recent development (since they've messed with the way some doors interact in the Foundry). The situation in which you become stuck isn't avoidable in this quest, so just be forewarned.

As for my review, I'm sending it to your Forum Inbox hippieshake! :)

I'll try this one out, big fan of Forest Gump lol (If this is a parody of that in some way?)
