I love this game, its a first of its type that i have played. I just love the concept. Developing skills and different playstyles and trying to co ordinate them with others, different for different occasions..Wow! There doesn't seem to be a single WRONG build or playstyle or anything, how you play it matters.
But it can be quite boring sometimes, the consistent trying to be the best commotion. Anywhere you go, pvp or pve, there are only two definitions for players..an elite or a loser. Everyone is so capable of doing things alone that they do not focus that they can perform so very well, if they tried to synchronize.
I believe, what we need is more dependency of one player on another and more stuff designed specially not to increase difficulty, but make us play together. Special tasks that can be completed only by specific classes AND races. One thing that can truly help can be if the game itself explains or does some wiki inside the game, of how depending on each other can make vast differences.
Another great system in the game is the queuing. Don't have to blather all over screaming for team (that has its own fun) you can just queue and get to your chores like grinding or managing trades etc. But still shouts for team are continuous and queues take forever. Can't really blame players for it, cause queue just gives random class group and you might have to abandon and do it all over again..which further discourages queuing and decreases potential queues. Here I wanna make a suggestion, to have a complex system of queuing. It can include-
-choice of having specific classes definitely in the group among total five
-permission to continue being queued for a dungeon group even when in a pvp match. By default, if a pvp match is accepted while being queued for dungeon, player is removed from any queues. Thing is, dungeon have high playtime so queuing naturally takes long. Players tend to do pvp rather waiting (especially after lvl 60). It hardly takes time to complete pvp, if allowed, players can start clearing former dungeon mobs easily while one or two players arrive.
As hard as the queuing change seems, i can only imagine what it would take to implement it. May it be possible creating virtual queues of earlier entries followed by comparing ever fresh entry with them and making parties based on the choices specified..It is always possible to limit the choices as it being max selected for two definite classes, others random.
-some fun activities to do while the wait, which are highly competitive and fairly simple, with some good reward for only the best, but the main aim being to involve time while waiting. I suggest
-DnD quiz dependent on lore
-stalls all over places for skill mastery and training, that can be seen in area itself where all players can see each other performing and admiring, not to be teleported to unknown world
-a place where combat strategies can be put forth and discussed in humane manner and be appreciated
-place to just hang out and have fun like a good old tavern filled with all sorts of rumors about players
Last but not the least in any terms, it will all be futile without a good community moderated to being well-behaved. It might seem a petty issue but rpg lovers are fairly attracted with corresponding enviornment. Implementing a trade channel for gold trading, the in-game currency, and moderating the chat continuously for unconstructive posts will be appreciated. People love being listened to, willingly that is. Even some who might offend sometimes, actually want to be heard, i believe.
It's no doubt many if not all similar ideas are in for the future. I have high regards for seeing the effort and support. That's why WE all expect more. The mystery about understanding really, the Game itself, has driven many including me. It might also be the time to promote the understanding in-game (discussion system alike), for that is what induces friendship, and, in-turn, what END-Game users look for...
