Question about item appearance changes

If you change an item's appearance by using a different item (not a dye pack!), is there a way to change back to the original appearance later?

    Doesn't seem so. You'd have to toss a similar item on there to get that look again. I forget how it was explained, but when you change a look, the item you used is destroyed, and becomes the new item, any old information on the item is lost.
