My second Foundry Quest, but my first serious one. I know there's probably some minor tweaking I can do to improve it, but I'd like if people can test it out and give me some feedback. I think it should only take 20-30 minutes to run. Thanks for your time!

I'll also swap reviews if you post your code here. Although heading to bed right now, so I'll check the post tomorrow after work.

I'll check this out later today and give ya some feedback.

If you want to try mine I would appreciate the feedback. NW-DJ56XFK6G
Its longish at around 45 minutes.

    Edit for feedback:
Couldn't complete the quest due to the mentioned dialogue just not showing up. Your working on that so its cool.

    1. Give the npc's in the tavern idle animations. Will make it seem more alive.
    2. Quite a few of the dialogue options, for when you have not progressed far enough to have other options available, have no ending option. You have to hit the done button at the bottom to exit them.
    3. Maybe add a sign/torch near or over the tavern door and the other buildings. Give the small village a little more life. And for the number of people supposedly living in this village there isn't enough housing unless a few of the are roommates. :) Just maybe add some small details to the village to make it seem more real.

I'm holding judgement though on the story and such till you get the quest fixed. Will give it a go in a couple days again.

Ugh, yeah, there's a bug with mine because I removed a needless item, and now it won't let me edit the conversation to remove the condition that the conversation will activate when you get the item. It keeps crashing on me.

But I have to go to work, so I'll look at it after and let you all know when it's working. Thanks for finding the bug for me!

I think I've run into the same thing before, and there is a workaround if you are having the same issue I had.

Once it gets into this state it seems as though the Foundry crashes any time it tries to load the popup/detail info window for that dialog step. However, in the dialog layout editor you should notice on the left of each dialog reply box there is a "+" icon. If you hold left-mouse-button on this icon you can drag the dialog reply box around. When you are dragging it around like that, a gray box will also appear in the upper left of the dialog layout window. This is a trash can that will delete the dialog reply if you drag it to that box. You can use this feature to delete the broken reply without the Foundry trying to load the popup/detail info window, avoiding the crash.

Of course it means you then have to recreate that dialog reply but, better than being stuck with a permanently bugged item.

Fixed, thanks for posting that for me, it worked.

Should be able to play it now and get past that part! :D

    So I tried, its working.
    My notes to your quest:
    -Great conversations
-I would just recommend you to add some hint if player dont know what to do in Inn. Its quite easy to lost yourself in those conversation if you dont read everything (and almost everybody sometimes skip some dialogue)
-objective "find the hidden path" - I wasnt sure where to search - but I found it :D - but that path was really nice, dont know if its your work or from map, but you use it -big like for it!
-You can easily lost yourself in that cave - quest tracking would be great sometimes :D - wasnt sure where I should go sometimes
-Very easy combat - add more encounters (but be wise in that - dont make it too hard)
-That maze...I dont know, I like that idea but I have bad experiences with it, players dont like mazes-maybe just add some hints to help -I was quite lost in that cave
-Story was amazing! Really like that idea
    -Great atmosphere!

Thanks! I'll compile some notes to improve it for the next version. I'm glad it worked though! I played yours, and I really, really loved the atmosphere! I'll have to play around with some of the effects and map backdrops more, because yours were amazing.

So apparently I advertised my Foundry in chat and said I used INSPIRATION gotten from a jumping puzzle in GW2. They took it literal and downgraded my quest because they expected an actual jumping puzzle. Ugh.
