Tears of Selune - Rising of the Dark by @xhrit
Short Code: NW-DBXOSCMMK
Mission Type: Story driven quest / Strict FR Lore
Average Duration: ~20 min.
Amount of Combat: Heavy
Amount of Combat: Heavy
Difficulty : 1 player (Hard)
2 players (Normal)
3+ players (Easy)
Mission Summary: A band of Devil Hunters races to a desolate village on the bands of the Neverwinter River stop an Evil Cult from finishing a Dark Ritual and unleashing the Fury of the Nine Hells.

Tip: The village has lots of monsters, many of which follow patrol paths. Be careful where you fight or you may find yourself overwhelmed.

Tip: This quest is the sequel to Feast of the Moon, and the second part of the Tears of Selune campaign. While all entries in the series have been designed to function as a standalone quests, playing them in the correct order will provide maximum enjoyment.

Tip : I have cleared this quest solo with no pots and no healer companion, in under 10 minutes, using my level 60 GWF (9600GS). If you are careful with what you pull and kite mobs around, you can clear a path to each objective without too much trouble. If you just charge in without paying attention to what is going on in the room, you had better bring lots of pots... or backup.

The difficulty is quite insane for a solo 38 GF. The skeletal warriors that swarmed me when I entered the crypt were a bit too much and the amount of adds once I exited the crypt was way too many. The encounters themselves were also pretty boring, you can reskin other encounters with costumes to look like devils and undead making the encounters more interesting than just using the same abilities every time.

The environmental detail on the town was good but you could probably place some more details in the crypt. (Bones, skeletons, cobwebs, etc)

I actually had to quit the quest before completing it because there were no Spawnpoint Campfires anywhere for me to cure my injuries at. Probably gonna call it quits on testing your quests for now.

That is why the quest description clearly says Amount of Combat: Heavy, Difficulty : 1 player (Hard). 2 players (Normal).

Having said that, I'm now going to point out that there are no stacked encounters in rising of the dark. That is to say, if you pull carefully you never have to fight a stacked encounter. No, this is not an easy mode quest. You have to actually think about what you pull or you will die a horrible death. But it is not exactly impossible.

Here is where I point out that every outside area I have designed so far has a campfire that you can walk to, without agroing a single mob. The campfire on the last map in Rising of the Dark, is in the exact same place as it on the first map. I bet you didn't think to look there.

Inside the crypt there are six non stacked single pull standard encounters... and a single non stacked boss fight. I honestly figured there was no way someone could need a campfire inside there, what with there only being six single pull standard encounters in the entire crypt.

Except then that I would not get the devil slayer title playing this quest. Also, that will make the other 8 quests in the campaign less unique.

If that is what you want, then by all means. Apparently I am just not making quests that suit your playstyle...
