I'd like to propose a different point of view...

Greetings all.

I've been lurking for about a week and plus and have not been around that long. Most would stop reading here, but for those curious I invite you to step into the world that games are evolving into. This is what the future is bringing.

Just as you see games on Steam now in their Alpha/Beta and paying full price or half price (Based on $60 USD for the value of the product) you can safely participate in the early stages of a game while it's in its infancy. To be honest, this is actually quite insightful for developers or people who actually have an interest in the way a game is designed, built and shared.

By no means is this a finished product, and people are ridiculous for purchasing this and expecting it to be. So, step into my point of view for a moment if you'd like.

I view this as similar to a Kickstarter, if you will. You donate for the development of a project that never really would have made it off the ground and get in game content and benefits in a public realm/mmo that others do not experience at first. You get that 'claim to glory' that you were part of the first.

I'm going to be honest when I say this; Neverwinter is not going to be the first of Beta-Project-To-Completion games. I honestly have learned much in the simple ways of PR, development or otherwise following this game for a while but only joining it recently where a lot of things have been panned out.

Without you, the loyal Hero of the North's, the game would not have taken off. You've paid your claim and have a right to submit suggestions, but demanding your funds back or issuing said chargebacks only make you look like a fool and incur penalties on your end.

You signed up for a Beta of a game and are participating in the development. When this game is complete, however long it may be when the shards merge to one game, I'm expecting something I can willingly pay content for while supporting the developers of a game and product that should have happened years ago.

This team, nor Perfect World, actually have to continue developing the game. They choose to do so as a gamble to invite others with a Beta. I'm open to insight and views of others, but if you're going to cry 'Wah wah I paid for this, I paid a ridiculous, I demand the moon', then you obviously have no regard on how to properly spend your funds and rightfully deserve nothing.

You received your product and pieces. If the value is depreciated, then it is the playerbase market and players around you. You still have your content exclusive to you.

I apologize if I appear fingerpointing, but I'm disappointed with how entitled people can be when it comes to a free to play game that you simply contributed or donated to development for. Also, for those of you who believe I'm wrong, you should really read the Terms of Service sometime..

You've paid for goods and received them. No more, no less.

I love reading people's insight and welcome all to share their views on the situation, but with the way the economy is going I feel this is the future of gaming and what future games will be introduced as.

We're just lucky they decided not to become exploitive of their consumer base. I'm looking at you WarZ...

Yeah well said mate, i doubt most of the untitled kids on this form will read it. I think most of the ones asking for a reset/wipe are the ones exploiting. IT IS JUST A GAME, I wish people were as passionate about stuff IRL.
