The only problem is with random groups.
When im doing a dungeon with randoms on que , i feel like is bad , eveything works bad.
When im doing a dungeon with my group , or an organized group (talking on skype/raidcall/...) it works so good and almost every dungeon takes half a time , with less and close to no problems at the end boss.
I have only been to CN with randoms so far , as my group lacks equip at the moment. But from my understanding of the game , it can be done with 1 cleric so its not a matter of stacking circles. However i think CW are an important piece of fighting that last CN boss , at least untill you get a 12k+ team , then you wont be needing CW's so bad.

I've beaten the Draco 10+ times now.. failed a fair share as well due to groups being unable to dodge and manage adds. I'm a CW and I can't imagine trying to fight this boss without a 2 DC, regardless of GS.. although, I don't doubt that it can be done with different group compositions, and frankly I'm curious to see how ranncores team composition would play out with the 1DC 2CW 2GF, it sounds legit.
In my opinion 2 DC, 1 CW, 1 TR is optimal for this boss. The 5th slot is really optional, preferably another CW for additional add control, although I've managed the adds on my own a few times.

My group farm castle never daily probably over 20+ dracolich kills so far, our comp is: 2 DC, 2 CW, 1 TR everyone is 11k-12k gs
Average clear time: 1 hr
Fastest clear time: 53 minutes
Average Dracolich kill time: 7 minutes
I have to agree with the above post, 2 CN is not necessary, but it's nice, and it's a safer comp. You can have the 5th slot to carry someone, or to sell a spot to clear CN if you're into that.
About not needing 2 clerics for CN, sure it's totally doable, in fact I've done CN with only 4 people;and of course some people prefer doing only with 1 cleric, my group is not one of them. If you want to farm CN, the most stable comp is 2 cleric. But yeah, if you don't have a team to go CN with regularly, and have to pug, and don't mind spending hours in there, go for it.
I disagree on having to carry. If your first CW is good enough to spam perma blackhole, then you can run a dps GF and the run will actually be faster than with another CW.
