What possible boss could you be fighting that you're not also fighting a ton of adds? Playing my 60 CW my entire job is handling adds. Killing the boss is the TR's job. I toss a few debuffs and Magic Missiles when I can, but I'm not there for my single target damage, which is pathetic, but for massive controls and AE damage.

You're not suppose to CC bosses, bosses are the leader! Bosses are not peons in the crowd and so your abilities are meant for the adds, not for the boss.

    CC the adds.
Even in the epic dungeons there are several "low" HP mobs that CWs can easily deal with, more effectively than TR/GF/GWF.
Even holding a stronger mob in place for a few seconds buys the strikers/Cleric more time to dish out more damage/healing. (Free combat advantage)

Delve loot murdered my TR, DC, & GWF. Nerf Plox:
I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.

    Why?
You are supposed to CC adds, TR job is to burn down bosses.
    Learn your role.

While I agree that for the most part controllers need to handle adds while bosses get burned by strikers, I also think bosses shouldn't be fully immune to CC. I agree with giving them resistance, but not immunity, since that totally shuts out controllers against them, and in any solo'able content that goes from being inconvenient to totally detrimental. Even in the tabletop D&D 4E there were no immunities only resistances and extra saves for boss monsters.

All bosses should be CC immune unless the fight is specifically made with boss cc in mind.
