lashing blade crit dmg in PvP

I'm level 45 My lashing blade stealthed crit is always 3k+ dmg in PvE. In PvP, vs a CW it was 800 (yes orange crit) today. I've noticed its always a lot less in PvP. Why is that? Am I missing Armor Pen? Do CWs have a shield or something to remove 2/3 dmg from a crit?

there could be a lot of external factors that can affect your damage in pvp. For instance, cleric buffs. However, while leveling you occasionally encounter someone who's surprisingly well geared for the pace at which the game allows you to fly to 60. Dont give it too much thought, wait til u get your 60 epics and if these numbers continue then u have a serious problem

You answered your own question. CW's have a shield spell, if you are opening with LB chances are it will be largely negated by a CW with shield on.

PvP-Scaling is broken.
