The spam does nothing but annoy

Just started into Star Trek online because a friend has been bugging me for weeks and I reached 60 here.

They have the same spammed admin messages about someone you will never meet getting a common as dirt item that no one will ever care about.

Are they really sad enough to believe that there are losers that will see that and feel "left out" and go buy a lockbox key?

Turn that weak attempt at marketing off, it was spammed so much from 1 to 60 I subconsciously learned to ignore it here.

You know it's a normal and working marketing practice they're doing? It makes people think it's easier than it actually is to get one so they would earlier spend money on a key for the chance to get the mount. Next time you say something is a "weak attempt at marketing", please make sure it's actually a bad one that doesn't work. And have you never watched commercials? I've seen far worse commercials(especially a lottery commerical) than what you call a "weak attempt at marketing".
