patches at zone

Why do I always have to patch every time I load into a new place?

The patcher is moving exceptionally slow today. I've been marked afk from the PVP arena because I couldn't zone in fast enough due to the slow patcher.... now i'm trying to do a skirmish, but i've been patching for the past 10 minutes. seriously.... wtf is with all the patches at load screens? Can I not download and patch the game before I log on so I don't have to sit through this BS?

    Agreed I just created a post about this, 9 min to get into a dungeon, nearly burned the DD timer out before even getting in patching. So stupid.

    10 minutes to patch the town, oh wait, my friends in another instance, that's another 10 minutes.

    this is stupid, no other game ive ever seen makes you do this, give me a 15gb patch and let me never patch ever again 0mfggggg

    It's a setting within the launcher. After you log in, before you hit play click on the "Options" at the top. Check the options to "Disable on-demand patching". This will then download the entire game so you won't be plagued by these loading times when you enter new zones.

    thanks. going to try disabling "on demand patching" and see how that works.

    it patches the whole game so you dont need to patch on a loading screen
