Jagged Dancing blade

Saved enough glory to buy it.. but is bugged, it keep following and not attacking until I drag the enemy on it and if the said enemy leaves the position for any reason the jagged blade do not follows, sometimes the animation skip like it is blocked by something, but most of the time it just stands in mid air unaware of the enmy around it.
Would be possible increase its range of awareness? I think the problem is the companion just do not sense the hostiles.
