Foundry and Cryptic....

I wonder if anywhere wa mentioned that Cryptic will use the foundy to implement their own quests??
The Foundry is nice tool to implement quests by the players but want to know if Cryptic even plan to use this tool to easy implement their own quest.
Why i ask?? Because i preffer content from the game authors (better vision of what everything must be looking) more than players quests (their own visions in different universe)...i know this is nice but let's be honest quests like Neverwinter stockade--the Neverwinter version of WoW Stockade is silly with all the character taking from wow(names changed ofc, but all know about what it is), or quest where we go to heart of underdark...fine but another player maybe do another quest where take place in heart of underdark and i bet that this two "hearts" will be different---thats why i preffer game developers content cause it has "REAL" places in forgotten realms.

So anyone know about any Cryptic statemen on the foundry and implementing by it new quests??

They don't use the Foundry, they have a proper toolset.

I mention "foundry for cryptic" only because this can be easiest way to quick(if regular player can using the foundry make quests then dev do this even quikcer) implement quests into the game but if they choose proper toolset then ok, but...if you mention this then you know something about the cryptic statement on implementing foundry-like-quests from the cryptic stable??

For what it's worth, my From the Shadows campaign will tie neatly into Forgotten Realms lore without conflicting with any other parts of the game. Not everyone is going to like the big reveal at the end of this campaign, but you need a little controversy now and then. ;)

Good to hear about author who care fitting own quests in the Forgotten Realms lore (that is exactly about is my fisrts post---fitting quests into the lore, thx for proper thought) and i look your campaign and after what you write i think give it a shoot :)
BUT is about this "revealing"...if this is important thing (for the lore) then i ask if authors(foundry quests/campaigns) are allowed into shaping "higher" lore in their quests??
If yes then after some time we can have "flying saucers", spoongeboob quare pant, and smerfs into the forgotten realms?? :(
If not, then what exactly are the regulations about interventions into the lore??
Thx for ansers and thx to tilt42 for making more intersting your campaing for me :)

Sometimes players think they know more about lore than they actually do. I wrote a campaign for another game and had some people comment "they're not like that!". I pointed them to Ed Greenwood (who created the Forgotten Realms), specifically writing it was like that in a Dragon magazine article.

Best thing to do though is tell the story you want to tell, and don't worry so much about slavish adherence to lore.

I have nothing against authors who know well the lore, world etc. i simply dont like the authors who use Neverwinter Foundry (tool to create quests in forgotten realms, right? or this is not the only reason for Foundy?) to create own freak storys in world that are not even forgooten realms...

Really? I just seen one of their employees bragging about having his foundry quest featured.

Shameless plug: give my quest a go (Blacklake Luskan - Forum link in my signature) - it's deeply integrated into the ongoing of the Blacklake official story lines and deeply tied-into the Stolen Crown theme. This is how I make my quests - it's easier to write, and it maintains existing immersion.

Though Crytic doesn't write quests for the Foundry (obviously their stuff is main event) - some of us are trying to tie-into and expand the Cryptic stories, rather than remake stuff others have already made before - or make-up totally unrelated new fantasy stuff.

Then don't play those. It's generally apparent from the description, and you can always drop quests at any time.
