Gateway down???

Ok, maybe I missed it. Being an old guy I sometimes don't read all the posts on a thread. Especially when they devolve into petty bickering. So here's my question: Why is Gateway down? As I understood it, Gateway was there so we could access our professions, check mail, and browse the auction house while the game servers are down. So why is it that during the last 3 maint. passes, Gateway has been down as well? Don't get me wrong. I'm not upset, just curious. Great game, I like it a lot.

    When the game servers go down the Gateway goes down as well since it is attached to the game servers. As of right now though the Gateway and Game servers are up and running.

    Yeah, I got the little red dot but logged on anyway and am now in-game.

    You know what these means - now every time I see the red dot in the future I'll end up trying anyway. :/

    I know that I woke up to play and saw the red dot, I was like, "Awwww"
    ...Now I have to try too..
    Sister Vanity knows if you've been naughty or nice...and heals accordingly.
