So I had a gear score of 8062. I just got done doing a respec on my feats for the first time. My gear score is now 7762. I lost 300 points. I figured it might have been a bug so I relogged, it still remained 7762, then I un-equipped all my gear and put it back on and it still remains 7762. Why did this happen? Is this known? Do certain feats add to your gear score? I'm so confused, please help.

I'm guessing that you removed the 8% HP feat-points or that you're a GF. If I recall correctly, some feats give you extra % in stats - that also increases your GS.
Characters: - Titania Silverblade, the Iron Rose of Myth Drannor (Lvl 60 GWF, Destroyer) - Gwyneth, the Cowardly Cat Burglar Drowling (Lvl 60 TR, Saboteur) - Lady Rowanne Firehair, Heartwarder of Sune (Lvl 33 DC) - Satella, Sensate (LvL 44 CW, Renegade, Non-Active)
I held off on using my "going live" respec token. After reading forum posts on GF spec's and doing some home work, I decided to go with a posted spec. Before the respec my gear score was 10822 after respec it is 12880. So it works both ways apparently.

1) Because you respecced.
2) Yes, because you respecced and your stats changed. Gearscore is derived from your stats. It's a very basic score, which seems to be made by just "adding a bunch of numbers together". Thus, some folks are surprised when they respec to be more effective at their role, that their GS drops. It's a very crude measure, but if you think about it, anything more.. perceptive suddenly strays into the realms of opinion and variability.

That is very stupid IMO. I hope they remove feats doing that. Thank you for the quick reply.
Try Google.
