Peace be upon you all my friends. I have been trying to create a foundry quest about a drow mercenary team that hires the player to do some jobs for them. The quests culminate in a big battle in which the player fights alongside the mercenaries and neverwinter defenders against an undead horde.
The problem I face is making the drow seem stronger than the average guards. But its impossible to make friendlies anything other than the stock guards which are very very weak. The only customizations available are purely cosmetic. The stats and abilites of the "guard encounters" also have no variations unlike enemy encounters which are of many different types. The only remotely strong friendly is the "brute" guard but even he is pretty weak and more importantly is slow and fights with an axe which isn't very elflike. I wanted to make the leader of these mercenaries (no its not Jarlaxle :P) a formidable fighter who will aid you considerably in your quest. But this is impossible as he keeps dying really fast because of how weak the guard encounters are.
My request is that you add the option to customize stats for enemies and friendlies. If that is too difficult at least add the option to make friendlies use the abilities of enemy encounters. This will open the doors for character based quests in which the npcs arent just recording machines but actual characters who aid the player in the story. Thanks for reading. Mielikki shower you with her blessings.
I agree, right now, only being able to select from Melee, and Ranged guards (non-Magical ones, just archers), is a bit upsetting. I myself have a few "Main" characters in my story, but it's going to be sad, and a little disappointing once you actually get to the point where they start helping you in "encounters". Being only able to use a sword and shield, an axe, and bows.
We need more variations of friendly encounters at the very least. Summoners, mages, thieves, etc.
