So if I play a Foundry mission written by someone too stupid and/or lazy to playtest it, and it costs me a dozen deaths and around 40 potions to complete...where do I go for reimbursement on all those consumeables?
Of course a sensible person might consider simply quitting when a mission proves that pointlessly difficult...but since the devs are utter and irredeemable morons who only believe in letting you rate an adventure that you've completed, it is impossible to rate one which is TOO DIFFICULT...so I WILL finish it regardless of cost so I can give the moron writer a poor score.
I say WILL finish because I was just booted from the server near the freaking end...and if I lose my progress, it is not going to go well for someone...
For anyone interested, its some tripe about lifting some moron elf's house to the surface of the lake in Blacklake...
what class are you? clerics currently have the most difficulty soloing most foundries. the one youre talking about wasn't very difficult (i recently completed it). there is sort of an unspoken understanding that foundries aren't going to be perfectly balanced. in fact the best way too balance it is to have others play it... kind of like a beta... you know, like the one you're playing right now... it's beta... calm down friend. potions are dropped by the bucket load and aren't expensive to purchase. the best you can ask for is that foundry authors put notes in the description to help warn about difficult quests. because encounters cannot be altered (aside from appearances) it can be difficult to know the challenge it might pose to most players. have you tried using the foundry, i would suggest giving it a go just to understand the effort it takes to balance them. i hope i helped.
I recently accepted a quest in the 'Review' column and initially I thought it would just be stupid. This HAMSTER stacked 7-8 ogres on top of each other and told me to kill them.
I think if you see a bull**** common encounter (non-boss) that you know is going to kill you, then just click the little exit door at the bottom left corner of the mini-map had to do it a few times where I've been spawned in walls or trapped in rooms.
