Search Code: NW-DM8RPLWP2
Quest Type: Hack and Slash/Dungeon Crawl/Light Story
Time to complete: About 10-15 minutes
Combat: Medium
Starts at: Protector's Enclave - Driftwood Tavern Serving Girl, upstairs. Quest takes place in Blacklake.
Difficulty: Designed for a small party of 2 or solo.

This is a simple adventure that begins in a house and ends in a short dungeon crawl and focuses on the undead as it's antagonists. This is my first published quest. I spent a great deal of the time on designing the maps, especially the house interior. I'm open to criticism, please let me know if you play this and find it too easy, too tough, etc. If you leave a comment, provide me a link to one of your quests and I'll be happy to return the play.

I just played it as my 18 cleric alt.

    *spoilers*

The first zone, which was the tavern had nice dialogue. Short and well written. It was premade so not much to say about it, solid pick.

The second zone was just going to a door. The third zone I will split into two.

The top part of the third zone was the house. The layout was nice and the amount of mobs/placement was solid. I did have a problem though, and this wasn't your fault so much as Cryptics. I aggro'd through one of the closed doors and could not open them or do anything about it at all. Luckily my companion glitched through one of the doors and started fighting, she cleared out the whole teleport room, still no idea what mobs were in there. The room where the mercenary died in though was amazing. I loved the book, the dead skeleton that hanged himself and the ghost of the guy in the room as well. I am not sure why he would attack you though, perhaps replace that fight with dialogue of him telling you how he killed himself and allowing you to have a conversation where you tell him you will kill the wizard and set the girl free. Make him spawn again and then disappear after you kill the wizard as well maybe, setting his soul free?

Anyway, the second part of the third zone had good mob placement as well and no glitches. Pretty straight forward little dungeon area. The very last fight though was a little rough... it was soloable on my cleric because I had popped my daily twice and spamed the AoE knockback with divinity. I am not sure how well this would work with a non-cc class though, something like TR or GF might have a lot of trouble, at that level(18) anyway. It would be almost perfect for 2 people, but the rest would be too easy, perhaps decide either solo or duo instead of trying to balance it?

I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to talk with the wizard before or after, or hear any explanation. If you were aiming for the 15min mark then it's fine as is, with some open door adjustments on the third zone perhaps? If you are just trying to make a good story mission, more dialogue would be nice. I liked the story I just did not feel there was enough there even though what you did give us explained it well. I guess that is what you were going for actually.

Overall a solid 4/5 dungeon, I could see it being run as a daily for the quest if it ever gets featured or picks up in popularity.
