Throne of Idris Quest

I was attempting the Throne of Idris quest, the final quest in Ebon Downs, and my group failed miserably. After the wipe everyone left the group. When I returned to Ebon Downs the quest was gone and I can no longer pick it back up.

Is this intended? A glitch maybe?

Has anyone else experienced this before?
