Comen Cryptic, why do even allow ppl to kick others in PvP?! I had highest score and got kicked at the end and therefore got no glory, nor did i get my blue item... 5-10min wasted on nothing only to get kicked so the one at second place could steal my reward, yes im f*cking mad right now!
It is really bad in it's current state. I've learned it's better to just shut the **** up and play and not talk at all to avoid even the slightest chance of annoying the 12-year old party leader with way too much power given to him. Not only that people do it without a reason, for me when I get kicked, it bugs and makes me unable to join a new domination in 10 minutes or so - sometimes one way to fix it works, sometimes another, but nevertheless its ****ing frustrating and plain stupid.
I would like to see PvP get a little love. Had a full game last night with only 3 of us, versus 5. We held our own well enough, but simply could not stand up to the constant barrage from the other team. Needs a little tweaking to prevent people leaving at the start of the game, maybe a deserter debuff, or charge diamonds to leave a game.

Or they could just allow people to join in mid match. They should allow invites and queing into mid match to allow the void to be filled.
So that is why they kick in active players PvP eh? Was wondering. Yeah think it is safe to say if the leader can kick people just so they come in first and win the "prize" something needs done about it.
Haven't bothered with PvP in this game yet. Which is odd because usually I get into that more than PvE usually in a lot of mmos. Considering the amount of issues people have remarked about the PvP kind of glad I haven't.

The game wasnt designed for PvP, so there will always be issues with balance, bugs, glitches and broken mechanics. Neverwinter is a game where you team up with buddies, kill monsters, hunt bosses, and creat your own quests and fight more monsters. All NPC fighting, making the game a PvE dominant game. PvP was added in later on to appease the masses and get them to spend money before they leave to the next game release.

I pretty much already figured that which is why I haven't bothered with PvP here. It doesn't mean the OP's issue isn't a concern though. Class balancing unless they differentiate between the two genres should definitely play second fiddle in relation to PvP vs PvE but this is a different matter. Same with the folks that queue up for PvP and don't participate when they get in the scenario.
The OP's issue isnt with PvP...its with the fact that a party leader can remove him before the match ends, ruining his attempt and wasting his time. Same can be done at dungeons, and honestly, I agree. There shouldnt be a party leader in dungeons and PvP, it should be if anything, a group vote to kick at most.

And in PVE, players can also be kicked by the leader any time the leader wishes. This is terribad in any game, for multiple reasons.

What? I've never seen anyone ask for a system where a random person gets to kick everyone else out.
But apperently there's nothing wrong with it either so don't expect anything to happen to people who keep doing that.
Nothing wrong? He stole (Ninja) My blue item plus glory and my time, so you say it's nothing wrong with that?
I think it's very selfish to do something like that and i would never do it myself, i treat people the way i want to get treated by them and i treat people how they treat me, that's common sense.
It is a nice feature so you can boot the AFK but the game doesnt even allow people to join mid match to replace them. You can at least stop afk's from getting anything though. never seen someone boot out the guy ahead of them for a prize and i have leveled almost exclusively in pvp up to 40.
They need an idle kick timer with a debuff that doesnt let you play anymore for a while. They need to allow mid match entry. They need to count kills towards the 1,000 point victory condition (even if only 5-10 points a kill) They need more maps, an 8v8 version, and a diff game type or 2. Besides all of that PvP is perfect Oh and we need a dual spec for PvP.
Yes the issue is not the OP got booted but that the booter used the boot to get around the scoring process and make himself the winner. On the one hand I want to say that sort of thing isn’t right and should be treated as an exploit. Btu on the other, its pvp and that was the ultimate expression of pvp wasn’t it. Don’t worry about the character, beat the player.
Part of what I find so luridly awful about pvp is the caliber of some of its adherents and that is something developers don’t seem to understand. These are not people who want to beat a digital copy of a cartoon monkey. These are people who want to beat other people. They will sit and think of ways to bend every rule, twist every terrain feature and work every angle to beat other people and call it fun. And here you see just one result of this brand of monster-making. He’s not out to get points or get glory. He could afk for that. He wants to beat people. He wants to win and there is nothing that he wont do to get that done.
Frankly, this game with its swiss-cheese ruleset and haphazard engine isn’t prepared for someone like that. Nor are the developers who apparently thought everyone was going to engage in honorable pvp with a Whispered *handshake* at the beginning of each match. Afk pvp, minimum effort pvp, reward theft. Can it be that on the development conference call, nobody every suggested any sort of “worst case scenarios” for pvp? What can someone do to steal victory, how can they get around the ruleset, how can the system be gamed and what can we do. How are other games being broken and how do they respond?
No one asked this. Well that’s not true. Actually someone did ask that. Some youth in Nebraska or perhaps Prague thought about it for twenty five seconds and figured she could get more faster by just leaving the keyboard alone. Now they just give some sort of desultory effort and move on t the next reward. And as far as they are concerned ladies and gents, if it is possible then they can do it and if someone doesn’t like it they can blame the dev or coder who made it possible. And that’s how pvp works, anything to get ahead.

I dont know if its something you can report on...It might not be something that bannable.

Already got that.

He was being heavily ironic...............
Oh well, im not much for irony as you can see. :P
My bad.
Well, at least it's not something that warrants a punishment according to a community moderator (yeah, I know they are not devs).

Hard to tell where pvp stops and pvd begins.
Maybe its time for that call.
