I thought it was an interesting crafting system... but it's getting dull and dull whenever I craft. Currently, I'm on lv19 tailoring but now it requires 40k exp to level it up and crafting items grants me only about 500-800 exp. In the end, I have to check my profession tab every hour to make useless stuffs and waste my AD for those materials. And there are very very few options to craft. Not to mention, it is very annoying to click assets and set them manually everytime.
i do agree crafting can be handled better. i do like hiring people to do so. but needs to be tweaked somehow. when i do more ill try and figure what is a good suggestion

Considering that lv 20 is the crafting cap (I think), it's kinda expected that the very last level takes the longest though. Also, I think there're ways to make some crafting instant without AD. At the very least, having 100% speed (I think that means instant) is a requirement for unlocking one of the crafting slots..

The system would be a little more useful if it was more fleshed out and didn't really on the zen market as much for asset aquisition. If you equate the amount of time it takes for a skill and compare it to rare tradeskill drops from other games, this game isn't quite as insane. Right now with how the higher rank common assets combine at the same 4-1 ratio while the more uncommon assets do the same, but double their effectiveness each level is a major design flaw. The common hires should gain in speed, but not as high a level as the asset bag stuff and there should be an equivalent system for tools or 4 common tools need to make an uncommon tool.

My suggestion: Let the player character be potentially one of the people used for crafting. OF course, it means that said player can't do anything else for the duration, but in exchange, possibly some minigames to both improve craft speed and/or quality? (and of course the player themselves can improve in crafting, futher increasing speed bonus/quality)
Eh...crafting in this game seems like a lost cause to me. Simply useless and they went way overboard trying to make it a potential money sink. I love the game as a whole but in this area they really failed far as I'm concerned.

No, it never grants 100% instant craft. I have tried with 4 purple assets which grants 160%(40x4) crafting speed, and it only reduces only about 2/3 of the total time. The extra speed from assets does not simply subtract the time like that. I think it's multiplication or so.

Ah, thanks for info. Can't help much with that then. Even so, if assuming 500 and 5 open slots, it would take just 16 rounds of crafting, which though high, is not quite that absurd, maybe..?
I am perfectly fine with the current crafting system. It makes you think about what you do with the resources and slots you have available and how to best get more slots.

yea crafting should be like lotro rewarding and pleasing to the eye
why do so many games go for crappy crafting systems this ain't even close to what the word implies
I love this crafting system and infact I feel like it is a minigame. I find myself logging on from uni, work, heck at my GF's place to finish and start crafts and perhaps check AH - Can't say I've ever liked a crafting system more than what this game has to offer and I honestly like the fact that it takes time to get max level.
