About
You enter the Moonstone Mask, ready for a quick drink and dance. Business has been quiet in your adventures, and few leads are turning up anything of note. As you sit down, the barmaid slips you a folded note, apparently from one of the other patrons in the tavern. As you seek him out, you are unaware you will be starting a journey, all beginning with the request of an aging noble...
Echoes of Providence is a multi-part, story-driven campaign. While Part 1 is a little... rustic as my first Foundry experience, I am hoping the sequels and future quests will be entertaining for players seeking a large campaign and intriguing story. Not yet complete, eventual plans for the final 10-quest campaign hope to utilize features not even yet available for the Foundry, such as Boss battles, static custom areas, NPC companions, and even the default Neverwinter Adventure Maps.
Intended for solo players, the three current parts of Echoes involve a mix of challenging combat, errand-running, and exploration/puzzle solving. The later quests, especially starting with III. Echoes of Providence intend for the player to be able to finish the Campaign in conjunction with the other quests in their log. Using the Overworld Map frequently or even the main Adventure Maps, I want players to find and complete certain tasks at their leisure rather than "locking in" the player from start-to-finish like most dungeon maps. The end-goal will be a globe-trotting adventure covering much of the Neverwinter area as you uncover the secrets to the Horix family.
It is not a perfect adventure, and I am always open for honest criticism. It starts slow, but I hope you'll stick with it as I try to create an enjoyable experience tailored for players who want more than a basic 15-minute kill-map.
Thank you, and may your travels give you the glory you seek!
Updating with Part 4: Beacon! Code is NW-DGH3SX8UU.
Focuses on world building a little more with some side chat options outside the main quest line you may need to look for to get to know Sam and those you meet along the way! What happens now that Sam has decided to move forward in finding the three artifacts to open the realm of Providence? Find out here!
- Exploration-based quest with moderate combat to keep you occupied!
- Soloable for almost all players
- Longer questline, though it may depend on how well you are at looking for objects without waypoints.
- Introduced to more characters in the search for Providence!
Hints:
- Make sure to search around and pay attention for anything that glows! The dungeons have no waypoints
- The final dungeon has five Hint-giving items, one for each class! Think about the riddles and the rooms you pass carefully
- I specifically added a point where you can go to the Enclave to sell/shop without losing progress! Use it!
- The middle boss segment is a lot more dangerous than the final rooms.
After a long hiatus, and with the Foundry having fixed many bugs, I am now updating this again. The newest quest is V. Well of Souls! Code is NW-DDLH3SG7A.
This one is a little more straightforward, with equal parts dialogue questing and dungeon combat. As with most of my campaign, the intent is for players to enjoy this alongside their regular quests in various zones in Neverwinter. There are also no waypoints inside the dungeons, relying on the players ability to figure out clues and explore the areas they find!
- Longer-than-average Foundry for players interested in an actual campaign
- Soloable for almost all players
- Uses various official maps alongside custom dungeons.
- Helpers available in the dungeon portions! Fight alongside the Echoes of Providence characters!
Hints:
- The dungeons are not as large as past quests, but you will need to explore them thoroughly
- The quest requires running through higher-level Neverwinter maps, so be prepared or have friends!
- Don't be afraid to speak with various NPCs!
