I'm making a maze dungeon, so the hallways are fairly narrow and, in some places, the mobs are quite close to each other, but separated by walls.
When I test my dungeon on the live server, my Vicious Dire Wolf companion sometimes aggros mobs through the walls. Sometimes one of the mobs jumps through the walls to come after me; sometimes they don't. In either case, I'm put into a combat state, so I can't interact with anything (e.g., can't open doors, etc.) and therefore can't finish the quest.
This doesn't happen within the Foundry when I'm testing a non-published quest. I can't make it happen no matter how hard I try. It only happens on the live server after I've published the quest.
Also, this doesn't happen everywhere that mobs are close to each other separated by a wall; only in some places. And in those places, it doesn't happen all the time; only sometimes.
Any idea what's causing this?
I realize the obvious solution is to move the mobs further apart, but that would require a complete redesign of the dungeon, which I'd prefer not to do.

Not just walls, I've aggroed mobs in adjacent rooms that have a void (nothing on the map) between the rooms.

I think I detect a pattern. It seems to happen only when a fight takes place near the wall that separates the mobs. In other words, just walking by the wall won't trigger it; you have to fight other mobs near the wall.
Can't you put a temporary invisible wall up to prevent aggro?
I gave that a try. It did seem to help a little (my companion still aggro'd, but I wasn't put into combat mode), but it ended up not working. One mob out of a group came through the wall. After that, I was in combat mode.
Moving expected locations of the fights does seem to be working, though. I think I'll do that combined with invisible walls.

Could be AOEs conduct through walls. I know sometimes that's the only way to kill a mob that's stuck in a wall.

I'm testing this hypothesis.
