THE SPELLTHIEF TRIALS

I'm serious. It's brilliant. Best ever. If you play it and honestly hate it, send me a message telling me why, and I will personally send you a stack of diamonds for subjecting you to such torture. Of course I am open to any criticism you may have. Throw in a short review and I'll make an effort to give yours a play through and review.

A secret group of powerful mages have established a magic academy in the Underdark. You’ve been hired to foil their plans in the most epic fashion possible. Work alongside an accomplished Spellthief to steal the most powerful spell-books within the academy and battle your way through a school full of ambitious wizards, witches, Arch-Mages, and their hordes of minions. If you want memorable characters, unique and challenging boss fights, spectacular scenery and beautifully hand crafted environments then don’t hesitate to accept this quest and begin your own training to become a certified Spellthief!

-Heavy combat
-Moderate dialogue
-Average duration is 24 minutes of epic side-splitting gameplay.
-If you are lvl 50+ I recommend bringing a friend.

    Solo level 14 TR.

The environments were excellent, I know you must have spent a long time doing all the runes in the classroom for example, as I did something similar in scope for my own work. I found the humor funny. 5 stars and max tip.

There were a few minor things, Underdark should be capitalized. The first time you talk with the archmage in the ice arena, you actually talk with an invisible clicky which is not in the same position as him. On the glacier or whatever it is, it may be possible to fall off if you didn't prevent that with invisible walls. If it's possible to fall off make sure there's some way of getting back, maybe a teleporter at the bottom with the other half of the teleporter in the air above the glacier so it can't be clicked on normally.

    I found it ok.

It started out as a story about necromancy and quickly turned into a series of 3 round arena battles. The sets were nice, the costumes were nice. The ingame jokes were fine (benches) The pop culture references fit. I got the feeling that you didn't care about dialogue, so I didn't care either. No need to explore as there was always a golden bread crumb trail telling you exactly what to do next, which I find extremely boring.

I'm going to try your quest, but let me tell you that it's not up to the author to say that his quest is "the most amazing", that will only make people avoid your quest or think that you're not mature enough to really make "the most amazing" quest out there.

I will change the Underdark typo and the the clicky thing with the archmage. I played through it again and I don't know why he is doing that suddenly.

The glacier in the air actually does have carefully placed walls to prevent falling off AND just in case a player does manage to fall, I put a teleporter at the bottom. Believe me i thought of that the first time I got knocked off a few times haha. Thank you for the playthrough and advice Kama, much appreciated

@Hercul33t: It is very obvious you didn't read the dialogue because this quest was never specifically about necromancy. I did care about the dialogue-mainly for my own amusement-and even the ending ties in with the characters and dialogue. I see script like that as an optional thing since I know most players don't care to read most anything. As for the breadcrumb trail, I debated with this for a bit because personally I find that a glowing line takes away from the environments, however I do plan on submitting this one to Cryptic to hopefully be featured, so I figured I needed to appeal to the masses.

@Duskdweller78 I'm just confident bordering on cocky. I'm just simply proud of the dedication I put into this. But seriously, if someone doesn't like it I will send you diamonds :P

Note: I will review those who have looked at mine in good time. Today is mothers day though and I need to do some last minute shopping. Thank you!

Fixed a few things and reviewed Duskdweller's quest, posted on his thread.

I also played through hercs and found it enjoyable and a welcomed challenge. The lack of a bread crumb trail and the maze/gauntlet style of the dungeon was refreshing and original. His use of effects and triggers were well done too. As a result of playing this, I actually decided to remove the majority of my bread crumb trails, since I do feel that looking at the ground, following a trail, does take away from the scenic areas I worked so hard to create.

    You're next Nyghoma :P
