My honest opinion of the neverwinter beta

i have played MMOs for sometime now and all kinds of different ones from the first lineage to wow and a lot in between, i have done everything from hardcore raiding to solo play. I have also played DnD for quite a few years also no, granted i play 3.5 and not 4e but its close.

My honest opinion of the game as it is right now, in a nut shell, to early. I think cryptic rushed putting the game into open beta and should have waited till there were if nothing else more paths (i think thats what they are called). Maybe had another class or two completely ready to go also. i think for starting off the races are good. I just did a dungeon (had a green dragon at the end) about half way through we lost someone, then right as we were going in to fight the dragon had someone just go afk. After we wiped i kicked the person who went afk, and if there is a way to go back into que to fill out the party again, i couldnt find it, again seems rushed. Having just 2 battlegrounds that are the same just with different skins, again rushed.

I do like the foundry i think that is one of the best ideas in an MMO, having played DnD for a long time i like the length of the dungeons. I do like the style of play, the only having a few abilities and you do what you can with, i just like that style.

My highest toon is 36, so i havent seen everything but all in all i think this could be a good game, just needs time. To cryptic, take the time to get stuff done, but get it done right. I know a lot of players on a lot of MMOs dont have a problem waiting for things like classes and ablilities as long as they are done correctly. I think you have the ground work for a great game that could be around for a long time, it just as it stands needs time.

As for the zen store and everyone complaining about that and the whole p2w thing, honestly STFU. if you dont like it dont play. No one forced anyone to pay anything for this game, most games you have to buy the game then there is no monthly fee, you dont even pay for this game, so in my opinion you have no grounds to ***** by cryptic wanting/needing to make money. Don't like it? DON'T PLAY. Don't want to pay for thing? DON'T DO IT. plain and simple

Technically man, this game isn't out yet, I mean it's still in beta.

They are missing classes that they say they are going to put in (what is DnD without Rangers) and Scourge Warlock is suppose to be the next class o the list "so they say.".

i get what your saying though, I have gotten tot he point myself where I am going to call it quits with this game and once everything is finished and polished I will come back (my time is precious and they should have gotten a lot of info from me and others playing).
