New Foundry Bug since patch?

Not sure if anyone else is having the same kind of issue I am where most dropdown menus won't work anymore (as though the menu itself were behind the edit one, so I never actually get a dropdown box) and some menus appear -really- messed up and behind other stuff. It's strange though because I was working on my Foundry quest before the servers went down and now I've got all sorts of weird anomalies when trying to edit my map.

Thought maybe it was my computer being funny and restarted that just in case, but to no avail.

It's as if the layers for objects are completely messed up. Including pictures to better describe what's going on.

This was a bug from back in closed beta, which occurred when the amount of objects on the map passed a certain treshold. Is your map very heavily populated?

With objects, yes. I'm about at the cap for it on that map. Guess this new patch re-introduced that bug then, huh? I was actually trying out making a new quest just now with nothing on it to see if dropdowns functioned properly and they did..so it's got to be that.

    Which is reeeally unfortunate.

On the positive side, you can still click on GUI items as if they were in front, so for the missing dropdown-lists, just click where you think you're supposed to click.

This is one of the reasons why details objects is one of the last things you should do on a quest. :)

So the buttons are still there but you can't see them.
I got this as well this morning. I have also bumped this issue to the team.

Workaround - please note this is not the solution or something you "just need to get used to"
I was able to select the option I wanted in properties by selecting the location of that property.
It does take a few tries to get used to it.
Click the property button and then click in the location where the option is on the list. Your click event will likely not select some other button as this is a display issue and not a menu issue. Even though it is not displayed the dropdown is there.

    <edit to say> - Tilt is too fast ;)

Starting to see that now, lol. Luckily I'd already finished the quest. Just wanted to fine tune some stuff but I guess that'll have to wait. I usually like building the environments first and then dropping quest stuff into it but it looks like I'll have to break out of that habit if this bug is going to be so persistent. Anyhow, thanks for the help. Maybe someone from Cryptic or the Foundry team will see this.

I have enounter this too when the texture reached near the 1500 limit. Any drop down menus (such as when setting a texture to appear or disappear) are also effected as well. I find that I can use the arrow keys to move and navigate the menus. I have to do it by memory, though. It does not refresh properly - until I leave the effected menu to see what option I selected. I am not sure when it starts exactly... I am guessing at or above 1200.

Yeah this bug is making it impossible to work the in the foundry. I can't do anything without screens being hidden or malfunctioning. I finally got the area to look the way i want (ive used 1492 details) and nothing works. Im having issues setting NPC pathing, animations, etc. I couldnt get any backdrops to work either except for the basic outdoors one and a sun beam effect.

Any ideas when this will get a fix?

Not what I wanted to hear :(
I guess I have to start pulling out some details until I finish the meat of the quest :(
Not only does it seem to do the "always on top" thing but I think it's affecting some Visibility issues too
    **** **** **** ****>

BTW this hit at around 1430 details and right after I put in some patrol points

Well I use 1500 details on all my outdoor maps, so I run into this bug quite often and yeah it's a very old bug. :p

Another workaround, move the map window with the slider a bit then click again on the object. The window will still be hidden but you should see now another window overlay with e.g. "Component Complete". Now if you click on the button, you can't see the list.
However you can use your arrow keys to change it from "Component Complete" to "Dialog Prompt Reached". Next step, click somewhere in the window, then click on the 2nd button e.g. "click to select a Component" or it will change the 1st button again...

Annoying as h*ll but it works.

Still surprised there has been no fix for this issue.

I have been having to work around it since closed beta.

Does Cryptic really care that little about the Foundry that in 6+ months they can not fix a pretty major bug that effects a vast majority of players?
