Exit out of external map

Okay guys. How can one get out of external map? I mean how can I place exit there? I mean I cant just place door in the middle of the forest and say "okay this door will lead you back to neverwinter". I mean I have external map which is like finish of the whole quest. Player comes there from dungeon. In that forests he speaks with someone and then the player gets the chest. But how that player can get back to neverwinter if there is no exit door or something? And it would be weird to place door in the middle of forest and also teleports need to be used duo so I cant use the teleport. Even though that would be kind of weird too... but still better then door in the middle of forest. So how do you solve the exits from open external areas? I cant choose (go back to previous map) since previous map was dungeon leading to this map. Is there any oprtion fro player to just freely go to worldmap from external map or I need to really place some exit there?

    I can think of tons of creative things. In mine I have a blood stain trail that is the exit with some flavor text like "follow the trail off the path". Tilt42 has one where the player clicks on a horse that returns them back to town. You could add in a floating FX cloud of glowies that says "return home" or any number of options. Be creative, you can even put in things like cart tracks the player could follow.. etc.

    So it doesnt have to be door? I thought it must be door or something... Well than it is not problem.. I thought that entrance cant be detail but only door or something similar.
