Duplicating Companions

At the entrance to every Dungeon and instance I always find tons of waiting NPC companions just sitting there, and I know the people took them in with them. You have some weird duplication issue with companions and zoning and the added npc's sitting all over the place might be what is clogging up your servers so badly. Please look into it.

I see those too all over now. Seems when player zones into dungeon his pet ghost remains where it last stood.

ALSO PLEASE SOME ADMIN CONTACT ME, I AM UNABLE TO CREATE A POST. I PM'D bossmastrvim twice but he has not responded in 8 days now.

I haven't tried to replicate it but you can actually get 2 useable companions at once.

    summon a companion,
Get on a horse and move around until you companion vanishes, re-summon him in the companion window.
when your done summoning, both the summoned one and the recently vanished one will appear.

I have replicated the bug that leads to this.

If you send your pet for training and the training completes while you are offline when you log in you will have a pet following you. However this is not actually your real companion. If you mouse over them you will find that their name is the color used for NPCs. The NPC one is the one being left at the gates. If you use dismiss/summon you will have both the NPC companion and your normal companion following you around. When you zone, if you had your companion summoned but only the NPC was following you it summons your normal companion when you enter the new zone. If you had both following you it just summons your companion as normal and leaves the NPC at the gate.

I was able to verify it today, I logged in after my companion was due to return from training. I targeted it and found that its name was the wrong color, I verified that I could have both following me by dismiss/summoning my normal companiomn. I noted the zone I was in and Enclave by a less used gate. I then returned to Enclave and waited for the zone change timer to expire. Once it had I returned to the zone I had been in and went to the gate I had left by and there was the NPC version of my companion waiting at the gate.
