throne of idris quest broken?

i tried searching and looked at the first few pages of the forum and didn't see anything recent about this, sorry if this is a duplicate:
the quest to enter the throne of idris seems broken. the quest went fine and updated all through the dungeon, but after defeating idris instead of telling me to leave and turn in the quest reset back to "enter the throne of idris"
