Hi!

Im playing an Control Wizard . i am lvl 33 atm.

Ive been looking for an good pvp build because it feels that im not having the best setup right now for the best dps.

im using these skills today :

Left mouseclick : magic missile
Right mouseclick : Ray of frost
Daily 1 : ice storm
Daily 2 : Arcane singularity
Tab : Encounter: Repel
Q: Class Feature: Shield
E: Conduit of ice
R: Engangling Force

What do you use in pvp? is there any skills you would change or keep? please help me :) Ofc you can write up the skills you use at higher levels. not only at lvl 33.

And are there someone who has a good build how i shall lay my powers and feats?

Thanks!

Drop shield and whenever you have access to ray of enfeeblement, put that in its place. Shield is really, really bad for some reason. We're squishy enough to the point that it doesn't absorb enough and we die in the same amount of time when we have it up than if we didn't.

the fun in shield is not the defense boost, but the ability to use it as another repel when you need to. just sucks you have to charge it up. i consider the defense boost just a bonus.

My Level 60 PvP Set Up

    Mouse 1 : Storm Pillar (AoE at-will)
Mouse 2 : Ray of Frost (Frost Enemies is very useful)

Tab : Chill Strike (With Oppressor Last Feat, you Frost them Faster with Ray of Frost After the Use of Chill Strike) + (Instant Frost 1 sec) + (Good AoE Damage)

Q : Repel (Very Helpful to Push Them out of Tower Point or Save your life Against a Melee Opponent)
E : Conduit of Ice (Very Good AoE Skill (Specially while Eye of the Storm))
R : Engangling Force (You Already Know Why this Skill is a MUST in PvP)

Daily 1 : Ice Storm (AoE Damage + Push (Very Good to HAMSTER Off a Whole Party in a Fight))
Daily 2 : Ice Knife (Pro Single Target Damage (Specially While Eye of the Storm)

Passive 1 : Eye of the Storm (Very Good Passive if you want to go Full Power)
Passive 2 : Chilling (My Whole Build is Based Mainly of Frost Damage, so It's a Perfect Passive)

For Feats, just go with Everything best for Chill. (Oppressor is the best Main Feat for Cold Mage)

I like this set up, however i'm only lvl 55 atm...I've tried the storm powers and the time power and they are a joke in pvp. sometimes i like ray of enfeeblement in the tab slot. My biggest concern is when i get targeted by all of the other teams players or by two rogues at once, that really sux as you can't get away fast enough, including dodge...you will be rendered completely powerless to run or attack for an extended time it seems. I've only just got Eye of the Storm to level 3 so i'll be trying that out today.

I almost downed 2 rogues at once. When I've died they had like 5-10% of hp both. What killed me is the rogue ranged daily. I probably dodged it 1 sec too early, otherwise, I would have killed both and success a [2 rogues vs 1 mage].

The secret is simple, you need to practice. You need to dodge in the right time and do your right skill in the right time also.

    ray of enfeeblement

    I totally ignore that skill.

Chill Strike is a lot more useful because it stop and freeze enemy. Plus it's AoE damage.. What to ask more?

Must haves for a CW in PvP:

    Magic Missile
    Ray of Enfeeblement
    Entangling Force
    Icy Rays (Thaumaturge spec)
    Conduct of Ice (Thaumaturge spec)

Also with correct set up you can get some moderate AOE dmg with the push back..At least at mid lvl I find it useful..

Ray of enfeeblement is probably the best CW's PVP skill if used in TAB. It's also very interesting against boss. However, pvp is a question of playing style more than skills.

Im assuming you max the ranks for each of these spells?
