Simple steps to improve PvP

This was initially meant as a reply to a thread that got closed in the general forum. So I decided to post it in the appropriate one instead.

So let's start the conversation that has probably been discussed somewhere else, but isn't on the first page anymore. Some simple things would make it less of a headache.

- Lower the AFK timer to 5 min.
Sorry but if you haven't loaded into the PvP map in 5 minutes, or you go afk to poo after accepting the queue, you deserve to get booted.

- Players use voice chat.
I have enabled voice chat and use it with my friends when we group. I have attempted to talk with pugs on voice chat in PvP and never once heard someone reply. Perhaps voice chat is disabled in PvP and I'm not aware of it, but you would think if anywhere you would use it there.

- Be civil.
Yes, we all know that in <insert random game here> you were the greatest PvP player in the world. In fact you were so good that you never had to learn anything. You burst forth from the womb with a mouse in one hand, and a keyboard in the other. You would totally still be playing that game and being paid as a professional by sponsors, except you totally got bored with that game. Unfortunately, not everyone was born with your gifted skills. Some people may be new to PvP or just getting in a match to satisfy their daily quest. If the only dialogue you see from someone is "Hey ****ing noobs get on the points," people will probably be less inclined to listen to you. I know, cursing people and hurling a string of profanities at them is how you demonstrate true love in the remote tribal culture that you come from. Guess what, most people don't operate that way. Civility is amazing in the fact that sometimes people will actually listen to you.

- Reward people for defending.
Part of the issue with most of these types of PvP maps is that offense is the only means to reward. Yes, you might get a victory, but guarding a point is at times just as important as mindlessly running at the enemy team to see if you can set the record for how many times you revive. As of right now, kills + caps are where the points are at. So it instills the attitude that it is more important to chase down that guy and kill him, then actually guard the point you control. Again, though support can earn points, they still get shafted in comparison to the Rogue or CW that is racking up kills, but not actually helping his team win the game.

- Disable mounts in PvP.
Not a single one of the domination maps I have seen really needs a mount (caveat: I've only PvP'd up to L31). As far as I know, none of the domination maps require a mount as the maps are so small. Fast mounts especially can often ride right past the middle point to back cap if there is even a minor distraction going on there. This sort of defeats the purpose of having a strong controlling middle point, if mounts allow you to bypass it so easily. Not to mention riding over the top of the point.

- Provide more statistics.
Yes, this is primarily cosmetic, but for those people who enjoy pvping it's nice to know who is healing, the dmg output, etc. No, we don't need a parser for pvp, but a few extra stats, as are displayed in skirmish maps might be nice. A Ladder system displayed in the Gateway might help as well. As people who pvp more often will want to compare their e-peens and it may promote less AFKers, though that is no guarantee.

I'm sure I missed some other obvious ones, so feel free to reply with things that are better than my suggestions.

tl:dr Lower afk timer. Voice Chat. Be Civil. Reward defending/support. Remove mounts. Provide more match stats.
