Having trouble with my GWF

So whats the deal here? I am level 40 now and mobs that are 2+ level below me are kicking my *** all over the place. I'm drinking pots like a ****ing alcoholic. A stack of 40 pots for one quest half the time. Is there some secret here I'm not aware of?!?

Please save your L2P comments to yourself, I do know how to play and make use of my sprint.

Well either your gear is severely out of date or it really is a case of L2P. I just leveled 40-50 this morning and currently taking a break before I go for 55. There was a lot of pot usage but not nearly as many as you seem to need. I think I used about 20ish pots at most per entire zone?

The cleric companion seems to help as well in keeping you topped off. Other then that its just smart usage of dash and using Unstoppable whenever it is up to mitigate damage. Otherwise at 40 I was just steamrolling everything. Mighty leap > WMS spam on trash. Then just Restoring and Flourish on cooldown on bigger things that didnt die in 2-3 hits from WMS.

Taking on 2-3 groups of mobs was pretty easy even. Just make sure you are not to stingy on using your daily. I pretty much use it whenever it is up on fresh mobs. Unless I know Ill need it next encounter to help take down either huge packs or things that have more hp. Also Slam so far has just been to OP. Use that daily and never look back heck you can even go ahead and take off whatever is in your second daily slot.

I do know that Ebon Downs or w/e had things that just hit for way to much for some reason. But after that it should be a walk in the park.

tl;dr WMS + Slam all the things

Couldnt resist yourself? Something is defiantly wrong be it the way I feated the character or the powers I have chosen. I have kept my gear up the best anyone can, by drops and what not. My GWF just can not take a hit. These 36-38 mobs smoke me in seconds, my damage output is just above null its like hitting something with a wet noodle. I would go just play a different class, but i wasnt aware at the time and bought bank slots and various tokens thinking it was account bound, not locked to one character :/ This problem just crazy because I have had no problem up until now.

I was starting to have troubles with the devils, after wiping the floor with them for hours. I'm mid-30s atm. I just ended up going back to my prior skill set that I had more points invested in, and I'm wiping the floor them now.

You make sure to pop unstoppable right? Unfortunately GWF is squishy as heck and even with a cleric companion you can get choped up pretty good. Unstoppable is pretty much key to not being chewed up and spit out while boosting you quite a bit. Otherwise I can only assume its likely your skill choice.
GWF level 60 (Beholder) - The pains of leveling!
Cleric level 5X (Dragon) - Holy goblin so much easier!

Yeah I use everything at my disposal, but still seem to get the beat down, I have since just retired him and just moved on :/

Its a shame really cause I have dropped about 20 bucks into him and he just turns around to feed his drinking problem. He so drunk off potions no wonder way he hits like a ***** and screams like a girl.
